Renaye’s Relay for Life

It’s no secret that we like to get involved in a variety of charity and community events. We believe in doing our bit to help out and we fully support any staff member who has the initiative to continue the good work on a personal level.

We want to help one such staff member get to her goal. Department Manager Renaye Roebuck is tackling the Cancer Council’s Relay For Life, and she’s looking for sponsors to help her reach her $200 goal.

We asked Renaye to explain why she is participating in the relay on April the 13th.

“Cancer affects everyone in some way, some of us a little more than others,” she says. “Almost 3 years ago my mother passed away from breast cancer and Relay for Life is a great way to show your love and support for those who have passed, those who have survived, those who are still fighting and for those, like me, who cared for a loved one with cancer.

“It might look like we’re just walking around in a circle during the Relay, but its more than that. We connect with others in the same situation, laugh, cry and think about those who have gone. Please help if you can. Every dollar counts.”

Visit the Cancer Council Relay for Life page and make a pledge to help Renaye.
