Rentwest team keeps internal vacancy rate low
Weve said it many times before: our team always goes above and beyond to get properties rented quickly, and our internal vacancy rate for June certainly proves that yet again.
While the REIWA vacancy rate for Perth held steady at 6 per cent in May, our team kept our internal vacancy rate at around 3 per cent. We leased a whopping 62 properties in June thats around two a day and we are expecting similar results for July.
There are still a lot of challenges with leasing property in the current market, says General Manager, Michelle Rigg. Historically winter is a quiet time for leasing so were expecting the vacancy rate to climb slightly. Despite this projected increase, Michelle says there are still plenty of tenants looking for new homes. The team attracts the best tenants by being flexible and proactive. Our internal vacancy rate number really does come down to a proactive leasing and marketing plan as well as the property presenting well and the price being right. Our team are showing properties seven days a week and are providing owners with a full report recommending new strategies weekly. We want to get quality tenants in homes as quickly as possible thats our number one goal.
