Rentwest recently won REIWA’s 2021 prize for Western Australia’s Residential Property Management Team of the Year.
Principal, Michelle Rigg, also took out the top prize for Operational Leadership. Both Michelle and Brianna Merendino were also recently announced as finalists in the Australia-wide REIA 2021 Awards for Operational Leadership and Operational Support.

The Awards we took out
The REIWA Awards for Excellence are the most prestigious awards for the WA real estate industry. They’re intended to recognise ‘WA real estate professionals who demonstrate best practice in their chosen careers, and who go above and beyond for their clients, the industry and community at large’.
The awards specifically don’t focus on profit or sales or number of properties leased. They purely judge real estate professionals on the demonstrated service they’re providing to their clients and the impact they’re making in the community at large.
That’s why we were particularly proud to take out the top award for Residential Property Management Team of the Year. This was real recognition that our team is dedicated to what we do and we’re constantly going above and beyond for each of our clients.
Michelle’s award for operational leadership also shows that our aim of creating genuine WOW moments and great experiences for all of our clients really works. So too does our flat structure and open-door policy. Everyone in our organisation is empowered to speak up, contribute their own ideas and help drive our business to become better.
We’re also excited that both Michelle and Brianna have been announced as finalists in the national REIA awards. Michelle has again been recognised for her outstanding operational leadership, this time on a national level. Meanwhile, Brianna’s nomination in the operational support category is recognition of her proactive approach to providing our team with the best levels of support, enabling us all to better serve our customers.
Although she is still young, Brianna has been with us for 12 years and it has been exciting to watch her career flourish. She really is the best at what she does and keeps our organisation running at its best.
What it means for property investors and tenants
For our clients and tenants, we believe that our recent awards are proof that you’re in the very best hands. We’re proud that the criteria for judging wasn’t based at all on how many properties we manage or how much profit we make, but only on how we help our clients.
We’re particularly proud that the awards also recognise the work we have put in over the past 18 months adapting to COVID-19 and its impact on the property market. We have been investing heavily in technology, empowering all of our staff to be able to do their job at full capacity no matter where they are or what time of day.
