Suburb Spotlight – Alkimos

Our featured suburb for the month of January is Alkimos.

Are you thinking about renting in the area? Here are some quick facts –

  • Alkimos is 42km north-northwest of the Perth CBD
  • It is a beach suburb
  • The suburb is named after the shipwreck of the Greek freighter Alkimos which ran aground on the coast nearby in 1963.
  • The suburb is still developing with more shops and schools on the way
  • Alkimos Beach estate was awarded all six leaves of the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s EnviroDevelopment tool which grades Ecosystems, Waste, Energy, Materials, Water and Community. It was the first suburb in W.A. to achieve this.
