Have You Checked Your Smoke Alarm?

Did you know that a leading cause of fire deaths is the humble heater?

As we are heading into winter, we’ll all be switching on heaters more often. For peace of mind, check that your smoke alarm is in working order.

Testing your smoke alarm is really easy. Each smoke alarm has a large TEST button on the face. All you need to do is push this test button once every three months (using the handle of a broom works the best). If the smoke alarm is working it will emit a short, sharp beep. If it’s not working, you need to get in contact with us as soon as possible.
