This month we’re having a chat with one of our longest-serving staff members, Renaye Roebuck.
How many properties are in your portfolio? What suburbs do you cover?
I currently have 42 properties in my portfolio. This was downsized when I took on the Department Manager role in July 2012. My properties range from Atwell through to the Yangebup area and almost every suburb in between.
What are the highlights/features of your area? What kinds of homes are available?
The properties I manage are primarily family homes with excellent school and recreation facilities nearby; however, with the ongoing development of the Cockburn Central area we have been taking on a few apartments also. These are very popular properties due to their proximity to the train station and Cockburn Gateway Shopping Centre, which is undergoing further redevelopment.
What is your take on the Perth market at the moment? Have you seen lots of interest in the properties that you’re showing?
I started in property management at the beginning of 1990 and I can remember the market being so quiet that it would often take 8 to 12 weeks to rent a property and most home opens you only had 2 to 3 groups through. My last home open, a 4 x 2 in Atwell, had over 60 groups through and received 13 applications, which shows that the interest in all properties has grown amazingly.
